In selecting the colors, furnishings and textures for the room, we carefully considered the homeowners' desire to balance traditional and contemporary elements.  The hand-crafted bed modeling traditional Asian construction is the focal point of the room.  It is accentuated by the dramatic four-poster frame, and delicate iridescent drapes with hand-sewn beaded trim.  We combined high ceilings and overhead lighting with dark ebony wood furnishings and an alluring color scheme including subtle shades of plum, charcoal and camel.
